Why Read The Bible ?

Each one of us that is living on this planet has something that they are unhappy with, or they do not agree with. It may be the way life is in our own home, or the way our friends behave. It may be the way the school is run that our children attend, or where you or I work. It may be that we have illness in our family that is dragging us down. For many of us we are frustrated by the way the country is run, and we wish we had voted for the other party. Yet if we had, we may decide the other party is just as useless. If we stand back and look at the way life is, we see it is getting worse, with no sign of it ever getting better.

Lets ask ourselves the question, can we make a difference? - Yes we can.

You and I to a great extent are leading a way of life, as the result of how we were brought up, and taught. The nature of our parents can be of great importance.

We may have very gentle parents, and we will follow that way, or our parents may be very strong willed, which we can inherit. Yet if we miss use the strengths we have, it will cause an erosion of right values in the community we mix with.

As we try to understand the way the government is creating laws, and also trying to change laws, we see a great amount of contradiction in it. On the one hand they want to see crime fall, but then they put in place laws that weaken those same laws.Where are we going wrong?

Lets recognise that the way the members of the government have been taught will influence the type of laws that are being put in place. So at root level government and society need to understand those fundamental principles that will change the thinking of us all. But where can we go for help, if we consider all society is running the wrong way, where can we go for guidance?
